The Phoenix, named after the legendary bird which is consumed by flames every 500 years and is then reborn, is St. Peter Chanel’s literary magazine. Moderated by Mrs. Kathy Finkelson, The Phoenix comes out once per year and features the creative works of Chanel’s students: poetry, short stories, essays, drawings, and photographs. The student advisory board reviews and chooses the works which will be included in each issue. This Phoenix showcases some of Chanel’s most creative students and their work.
